In a major development, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor has been admitted at Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. The news was confirmed by the actor himself on social media. He tweeted, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested ”
As soon as the news got spread like a wildfire on social media, film fraternity and his fans, followers and netizens have prayed for his speedy recovery.
Eàrlier in the day, it was reported that actress Rekha’s bungalow at Bandra has been sealed by the BMC after the security guard tested Covid positive. So far, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar and Boney Kapoor’s staffer or househelp have contracted Covid. Notably, the staffers of KJo and Boney Kapoor’s house have recovered, while Mr Perfectionists househelp and others are undergoing treatment.
