Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing discomfort and shortness of breath, as reported by ABP News. According to the report, Bachchan underwent an angioplasty procedure for his heart after doctors recommended it during a routine checkup. Although initially feeling unwell while attending events, Bachchan is said to be in stable condition post-surgery.
In response to concerns about his health, Bachchan took to social media on Friday to express gratitude, sharing, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever…” Additionally, he shared a promotional video for his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team. As of now, neither Bachchan nor his family has issued an official statement regarding his hospitalization.
This isn’t the first time Bachchan has faced health issues. Earlier this year, he underwent wrist surgery, as seen in pictures shared on his blog alongside actor Akshay Kumar. Furthermore, in March of last year, Bachchan suffered injuries while shooting for the film “Kalki 2898 AD” in Hyderabad, resulting in bed rest due to a strained back, torn muscle, and strained rib cartilage. Medical restrictions prevented him from attending the San Diego Comic Con to promote the film.
Despite health setbacks, Bachchan remains committed to his work. He recently shared updates on his blog about shooting for Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD,” expressing dedication to completing the project on time for its May 9th release date.
