‘Agent’ was released yesterday amidst massive expectations. Hours after its release, the film has become the target of social media trolling with extreme negativity.
Fans have openly complained about director Surender Reddy for choosing a spy thriller. While Akhil Akkineni spent three years transforming himself into a machismo look, fans are upset with the result of ‘Agent’.
Akhil’s mom opened up on the trolling on social media and responded over it on Instagram. “I understand that trolling comes from a deeper insecurity and need for achievement. I watched Agent yesterday and honestly enjoyed the film. While it has its flaws, if you watch it with an open mind, you will be amazed . The hall I watched it at was packed, half of the audience were ladies, mothers and grandmother along with their husbands and sons!. There were screams when the action happened. And I am sure the next one will be bigger and better,” she wrote.
For the first time, Amala responded through social media with her consoling words. Akhil pinned many hopes on ‘Agent’. Even though he has been in the industry for seven years, the break is elusive for Akhil. Day in and day out, he pulled up his sleeves, giving interviews on every medium to promote his film. Apparently, the audience rejected ‘Agent’. Box office disasters are quite natural for all stars, but such a thing shouldn’t have happened to Akhil at this juncture.
