Allu Arjun gains relief in code of conduct case
In a recent turn of events, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has provided relief to actor Allu Arjun in connection with a case regarding a violation of the model code of conduct during the 2024 general elections. The court, on October 25, temporarily halted any further proceedings and will announce its final judgment on November 6.
The case revolves around Arjun’s visit to Nandyal during the elections, which allegedly violated Section 144 and the Police Act. A complaint was lodged by the Nandyal deputy tahsildar, who claimed that the actor visited the area without the required permissions from the election authorities, leading to large crowds gathering illegally. Allu Arjun’s legal team argued that his visit was personal and unrelated to any political activity, insisting that he should not be held accountable for the crowd.
The actor’s defense also argued that there was no political agenda behind the visit, and therefore, it did not breach the code of conduct. Following these arguments, the court decided to withhold any immediate legal actions and scheduled the final ruling for November.
This case has drawn significant attention, particularly due to the rumored tensions between Allu Arjun and his uncle, Pawan Kalyan, who was running in the elections for a different constituency. Arjun’s public endorsement of a different candidate further fueled speculation about a family rift.
On the professional front, Allu Arjun is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar. The film is set to hit theaters on December 5, with Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna reprising their roles from the first installment.
