Allu Arjun faces backlash for poor response to Sandhya theater incident
The tragic incident at the Sadhya Theater, during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule, has generated significant controversy. A stampede broke out, leading to the death of a woman in the crowd. The police blamed Allu Arjun’s security, saying their actions caused panic, while the theater management pointed fingers at the police for inadequate safety measures.
What has shocked many is Allu Arjun’s delayed response to the tragedy. While the visuals of the incident went viral and sparked an outpouring of sympathy, the actor remained silent. The woman’s husband’s emotional words about her and their child, who were fans of Allu Arjun, deeply touched many, but there was no immediate response from him.

When a tragedy like this occurs, it’s crucial for those involved to react quickly. In this case, Allu Arjun should have left the theater immediately to visit the hospital where the victim’s child was admitted. Instead, he stayed to finish the movie, which many people found insensitive. There was also no message of condolence from the actor, either in written form, through video, or audio.
The incident raised questions about safety measures at public events. The theater management failed to ensure proper crowd control, and the police did not make the necessary arrangements for a large crowd. These lapses contributed to the chaos that led to the tragic loss of life.
Although no one would expect a hero to knowingly be involved in such an incident, the way Allu Arjun handled it left much to be desired. He could have followed the example of other actors, like Prabhas, who took immediate action in similar situations. Compassion and a quick response are important, not just on-screen but off-screen as well.
