Allu Aravind to retire after his dream project? Fresh reports indicate that Allu Aravind is planning to retire and pass on his legacy to his son to take a back seat after wrapping up a trilogy on mythological film – ‘Ramayana’.
The multilingual film, Ramayana is produced by Madhu Mantena, Namit Malhotra and Allu Aravind has joined on board the produced the big-ticket film touted to be made on an estimated budget of Rs 1500 crores. Mentioning about the Aravind’s retirement, an inside source had said, “This is Allu Aravind’s dream project and he wants to make it big. After producing this mega-project, he may retire and hand over his job to his sons”.
The mythological film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame and Ravi Udyawar of Mom fame. The makers are yet to take a call on casting but are aiming for the part 1 release in 2021 with the makers promising that there won’t be a huge gap in the release of other two instalments. Tiwari explains the reason for making it three-parts series stating, “Madhu and Ravi have been friends for years, Allu sir and Namit are legends and Sridhar has fabulous credentials as a creator. All we have to do now is zap the world…”. “Apart from Ram and Raavan, every character, be it, Sita, Lakshman or even Hanuman, has something to say which is why we are telling the story in three parts”.
Meanwhile, Udyawar says, “For me the Ramayana offers magic in its shape-shifting monsters. It’s something that even a toddler will enjoy. I am doing this for my children”.
