Malayalam movies seems to be the go-to for remakes. After Lucifer, Driving Licence and Ayyappanum Koshiyum, now blockbuster hit Kappela Telugu rights has been sold. Prestigious banner Sithara Entertainments which has bankrolled hit films like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo , Jersey has bought the remake rights of Kappela. The news was confirmed by the film producer Vishnu Venu who wrote, “Kappela is to be remade in Telugu by Sithara Entertainments (Producers of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo , Jersey Movie , and many more). Kappela is the third movie from malayalam industry after Premam & Ayyappanum Koshiyum to be bought by them! Expressing our sincere thanks to all well wishers for making our small movie a grand success!”
Kappela is the directorial debut of Ain actor Musthafa and stars Anna Ben, Roshan Mathew and Sreenath Bhasi. Well, it is to be seen which Tollywood actor get a chance to star in this blockbuster film.
Speaking about Telugu remake Lucifer, it stars Chiranjeevi. Saaho director Sujeeth is helming the project. The Konidela’s were reportedly impressed by the young filmmaker and despite being a two film-old he managed to impress Chiranjeevi. Run Raja Run has been working on the script and has made changes to suit the nativity of the Telugu audience. A few days back, reports were rife that makers have approached Khushbu Sundar to cast her for the role of Manju Warrier. As per the details, she is impressed by her role and film concept. She has given her nod to be part of the film, however she is yet to sign on the dotted lines. Previously, Chiranjeevi and Khushbu have worked together for AR Murugadoss’ film Stalin. The Malayalam film starred Mohanlal, Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrior, Tovino Thomas, Saikumar and Nyla Usha which was a political drama.
