Director Raghava Lawrence’s Laxmmi Bomb starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani is all set for release on digital platform, Disney+ Hotstar. The actor plays transperson and is seen wearing sareer. Ask him about his role, he calls it as as the most difficult part in his career calling it ‘mentally-intensive’.
Describing about the role, he said, “the credit of getting that right goes to my director Lawrence. He introduced me to a version of myself I didn’t know existed. I am playing the role of a transperson, and I was aware that I must do this with full honestly because I don’t want to offend any community.”
He added, “Not just that, playing this role has definitely given me more understanding of gender and gender equality and also given me more lessons to not be ignorant about people around us.”
