Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film Officer starring Nagarjuna failed at the box-office. The film was panned by critics and movie buffs alike. It is worth mentioning that, RGV at the time of teaming up with Nagarjuna posted a tweet that he would be directing Akhil which will be bankrolled by King Nag.

However, after Officer stood as a dud, apparently Akhil seems to have pulled out of the much happening film. He said, “I’m not sure who is confirming any such news (of Akhil doing Varma’s film) or why. I’m off to London to shoot my next film. That’s the only thing on my mind right now.” Currently, Akhil is off to London for his next with Venky Atluri where Nidhi Aggarwal is his co-star.
