However, the love story did not have a fairytale ending. According to reports, a well-known Tamil character artist, Bayilvan Ranganathan, had read one of Ajith’s love letters to Heera. Heera’s mother was opposed to their marriage, fearing it would negatively impact Heera’s career. While the exact reason for their breakup remains unclear, it is believed that Ajith was unhappy with Heera’s changing behavior towards him.
Eventually, Ajith found love again with actress Shalini, whom he married in a grand ceremony in 2000. Shalini, who enjoyed a successful acting career, decided to quit the industry post-marriage.
