Stunning actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was introduced on the celluloid by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Since then they have worked in many films and in fcat, it was in the film Guru that Aish also found her future husband. Buzz is that Aish is all set to team up with Bombay director and make a comeback in Tollywood after a decade. Putting the speculation to rest, Aish confirmed that she is indeed part of Mani’s ambitious project and said special words about her “guru”.
“What I will commit to is even though Mani hasn’t formally announced it himself, I’m working with him. The word is out so I’m committing to that fact. And I don’t have to agree. I’ll always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed, humbled, and just happy to work with my guru. So, ya that’s happening. Back to school,” said Aish.
Talking about the film, the film is based on a novel – Ponniyin Selvan having a titular name. Reportedly, Aish will be essaying the role of Nandhini from Ponniyin Selvan, who is lethal, power-hungry, and a manipulative woman. In fact, she plays a major role in the downfall of Chola kingdom.
