Senior actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus on Saturday. The father-son duo is undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hopistal in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai, her daughter Aaradhya, and Jaya Bachchan’s antigen test reports came negative. They also underwent swab tests and the results of which have come out negative too. Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope in a video message said, “Both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan underwent Antigen test and they have tested positive for Covid-19. Other family members including Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were also tested and their results will come tomorrow (Sunday)”.
The news was first confirmed by Big B on social media. He wrote, “I have tested Covid-19 positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested,” Big B wrote.

On the other side, Abhishek also confirmed of contracting the deadly virus. He wrote, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for Covid 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
