Agent starring Akhil Akkineni and directed by Surender Reddy turned out to be the biggest flop in Akhil’s career. After its disastrous performance, Akhil and Surender Reddy remained out of the public eye for a significant period.
Despite the film’s poor reception, many of Akhil’s fans and general movie enthusiasts were eager to watch Agent. Interestingly the movie was not made available on OTT platforms even after a year of its theatrical release.
Recently, Agent has finally been released on OTT through Goldmines. However, this release has disappointed fans since only the Hindi dubbed version is available with no indication of when or if the Telugu version will be released.

Previously, there were reports that producer Anil Sunkara had an agreement with Sony Liv for the film’s OTT release. Unfortunately, due to alleged financial issues, this deal did not materialize. This delay is perplexing, especially considering that blockbuster films like “RRR” and various smaller movies typically appear on OTT platforms within 50 days of their theatrical release.
For now, those who missed the movie in theaters can watch the Hindi version on Goldmines. Directed by Surender Reddy, “Agent” features a cast that includes Mammootty, Dino Morea and Sakshi Vaidya. While the film’s initial reception was poor, its long-awaited OTT release still generated curiosity among audiences.
