Usually, artistes in the film industry have to do proper homework when they get on to the sets for a film project. Without proper homework, nothing is materialised. Sakshi Vaidya plays the love interest of Akhil Akkineni in ‘Agent’ which is released in theatres on Friday. Contrary to her claim that she made during the interview the previous day, Sakshi Vaidya spoke in Telangana dialect.
During the interview, Sakshi said that she struggled really hard to learn the Rayalaseema dialect. She said, “Telugu that everyone speaks here, is simple, I can understand. Speaking is the only problem. I play the girl who hails from the Rayalaseema region. So speaking the Rayalaseem dialect was a bit difficult since it seems the village version of the language. It is a bit difficult, but in Telugu in general, I’ve been taking classes now. I’ve been watching a lot of Telugu movies.”
But when her character started speaking in Telangana accent, everyone was taken aback. Probably, journalists thought Sakshi might have slipped her mind during her interview.
‘Agent’ released to mixed reviews on Friday. The film is an action-packed commercial entertainer showcasing Akhil as the spy agent working for an undercover operation being carried out by Research Analysys Wing (RAW).
