It’s a shocker for Akkineni fans as the latest box office release ‘Agent’ registered single digit collections on day 1.
Starring Sakshi Vaidya as female lead, ‘Agent’ boasts an ensemble cast of Malayalam Superstar Mammootty, Dino Morea as the baddie. Despite massive promotions and sky-rocketing expectations, the film received negative talk due by both critics and audiences on the first day.
The film got Rs 1.1 crore revenue from the theatres located in the Nizam region. And the overall collections from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are pegged at Rs 4.2 crore while it collected Rs 6 crore worldwide including other languages.
With its knitted screenplay and climax getting fizzled out without much logic, the film failed to keep the spirit up. However, the film has already earned Rs 37 crore in the pre-release business.
