Actress Kasturi Shankar has condemned Superstar Rajinikanth for refraining to comment about the pleas to release the convicts who assassinated former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. It all happened after media questioned Thaliavar’s opinion on the release of the seven convicts, to whihc the actor replied that he is unaware of it so he can’t answer.

“How can anyone living in TN for over twenty years not know of the 7 Rajiv Gandhi accused. Mr @rajinikanth ‘s heart may be in the right place, but he definitely needs to show more interest in TN issues. This is not innocence. It is ignorance, or worse, Apathy,” Kasturi tweeted.
Meanwhile, her comments irked Rajinikanth’s fans who questioned Kasturi, who then iterated her stance tweeting, “For all the people ‘explaining’ to me about Rajini Sir’s awareness levels, I am not accusing him of not knowing the 7 people at all. He himself admits he is clueless about the current developments in the matter. Definitely not befitting someone with CM aspirations. [sic]”.
