According to reports, Tamil actor Vijayakanth, who is the founder of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) was admitted to a hospital in Chennai on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathlessness. He was rushed to the hospital at 3am. Though unconfirmed reports claimed his condition is critical, DMDK, in a statement, claimed that he was admitted for a routine health check-up.The statement added that his condition was stable and that the doctors had informed his family that his condition was improving. The hospital has not released an official statement yet. In September last year, the actor had tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted at a hospital after he developed complications and was discharged after he tested negative for the virus.
