In a tragic affair, popular actor Ranjan Sehgal passed away on July 11 due to multiple organ failure. The actor was reportedly ill for a long time and breathed his last at the age of 36. Ranjan was a popular face in Punjab and enjoyed huge fan base among the Punjabis. He is known for works like Mahi NRI (2017), and Yaaran Da Katchup (2014). Sehgal hailing from Chandigarh completed his Master’s degree in Theatre from Punjab University in 2009. He also starred in acclaimed film Sarbjit starring Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
He shot to fame in television with show Rishton se badi…Pratha which paved him path for many more popular daily shows. He then went on to star in Tum Dena Sath Mera, Gustakh Dil, Bhawar and Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re and Kuldeepak. He also acted in television shows like Savdhan India and Crime Patrol, where he appeared in cop’s role often. He got married to costume designer Nivya Chhabra on February 24, 2014. Reportedly, the couple met on the sets of Tum Dena Saath Mera where the cupid had stuck.
