Kannada Actor Duniya Vijay was arrested by the police in Tamil Nadu in connection with ‘Maasthi Gudi’ film where the death of two stuntmen in 2016 created a flutter in the Sandalwood industry.
The police officials said that the film producer Sundar P Gowda was one of the key accused and Duniya Vijay assured to help police to nab the producer. But later it turned out the Vijay colluded with the producer to help him escape from the police clutches. Following which, the police arrested Duniya Vijay.

The incident happened in November 2016 during the shoot of the film. As part of the scene, two stuntmen identified Raghava Uday and Anil Kumar jumped off a helicopter into the Thippagondanahalli reservoir. However, the two died as they didn’t wear life-vests. In this case, Vijay was a prime witnesse.
Following the death, a case was registered against Naga Shekhar, producer Sundar P Gowda, stunt director Ravi Varma, assistant director Siddharth, unit manager Bharath and helicopter pilot Prakash Biradar.
