Director Koratala Siva and Chiranjeevi have teamed-up for the first time and considering the combo expectations have sky-rocketed form the time of announcement about Acharya. Trisha Krishnan was cast as the lead lady, and was supposed to be her comeback in Tollywood after a gap of five-years. However, Trisha sudden exit baffled many and wondered what could be the reason.
While many speculations did round on Trish exit from Acharya. Finally, Chiranjeevi has broken his silence and reacted on Trisha exit stating that she preferred Mani Ratnam’s film over Acharya. He said, “I don’t know why she said that. I asked all my team members if anyone had said anything to upset her. Later, I got to know that she is doing Mani Ratnam film and he needs longer schedules from her, so she couldn’t accommodate our Telugu film.”
Now, Kajal Aggarwal has filled the shoes of Trisha. The film touted to be a Naxalite-turned-social reformer fighting against Endowments Department. Mani Sharma is roped in to compose the music, while Regina Cassandra will shake leg with Chiranjevi.
