Aadikeshava Movie Review : An outdated and lackluster drama

Aadikeshava Review

Plot:

Balu (Panja Vaisshnav Tej) leads a happy life, joining a cosmetic company owned by Chitra (Sreeleela). However, an unforeseen twist unravels Balu’s tale, revealing his connection to Chenga Reddy (Joju George) and the village of Brahmasamudram. The rest of the film answers these intriguing questions.

Performances and Technical Aspects

In this commercial action venture, Panja Vaisshnav Tej exhibits commendable growth in acting, dancing, and fight sequences compared to his previous endeavors.

Sreeleela adds allure to the screen, elevating the film’s appeal. Her on-screen chemistry with Panja Vaisshnav Tej is notable, accompanied by her remarkable dancing abilities. Supporting actors like Suman, Sada, Nellore Sudhakar deliver adequate performances.

Debutant writer-director Srikanth N. Reddy shines in infusing clean comedy but falters in weaving a gripping narrative that truly engrosses the audience.

The music composed by GV Prakash Kumar is average. Cinematographer Dudley endeavors to enhance the film’s visual appeal. The editing is up to the expected standard, and the decent production values, including sets and costumes, contribute positively to the movie’s overall quality.

Analysis:

The first half boasts laughter-packed comedy sequences featuring Vaisshnav and Nellore Sudhakar. Additionally, Sreeleela’s dance sequences and presence stand out as the film’s strong points. Apart from this there is nothing more positive to talk about the film.

The storyline suffers from a lack of originality, making it highly predictable. While the initial half maintains a smooth flow with enjoyable comedy, the latter part falters due to the protagonist’s imperfect shade and exaggerated scenes.

The film showcases entertaining fight sequences but occasionally veers into unrealistic moments, reminiscent of a notable director’s style.

Aadikeshava introduces several unnecessary characters without adequate development, rendering lightweight roles for actors like Suman, Sada, Aparna Das, and others.

Sreeleela’s role, although decent, primarily revolves around dance sequences and a handful of romantic scenes. Joju George’s character lacks depth, attributed to inadequate writing that doesn’t allow him to shine.

Verdict

Overall, Aadikeshava emerges as a poor action drama, presenting Panja Vaisshnav Tej in a new avatar. While his comedic timing, Sreeleela’s allure, and the initial comedy scenes shine, the film falls short due to its outdated storyline, exaggerated action sequences in the latter half, and surplus of unnecessary scenes. Considering alternative entertainment options might be wise this weekend.
