Allari Naresh, known for his comedic prowess, returns to his forte with the film Aa Okkati Adakku. Paying homage to his father’s memorable film from the 90s, Naresh brings his comedic charm to the forefront once again. Let’s see how the film is.

Story:Film’s plot revolves around Gana(Allari Naresh), an aging bachelor portrayed, who struggles to find a suitable match. His journey leads him to Siddi( Faria Abdullah), but their romance is entangled in a matrimonial scam,What happens next forms the crux.

Performance and Technical Aspects: Allari Naresh is good at playing the role of an aged bachelor, with his signature comedic flair. However, in this movie, the way his character is written or shown lacks something new or exciting. while there’s nothing really bad about it, there’s also nothing particularly impressive. Faria Abdullah role in the beginning of the movie feels inconsistent. She shows up in a few scenes, then disappears, only to come back later before the break and stay for the rest of the film. Vennela Kishore and others deliver their typical comedic acts, yet fail to elevate the overall experience. Despite the inclusion of seasoned actors like Gautami and Murali Sharma, their roles seem misplaced within the narrative.

On the technical side, Musically, Gopi Sundar’s score fails to resonate, and the placement of songs exacerbates pacing issues. While cinematography by Suryaa captures the essence of the middle-class setting, editing by Chota K Prasad could have been crisper to mitigate the film’s lengthy feel.

Analysis: This film directed by Malli Ankam, attempts to explore the struggles of an aging bachelor in contemporary society. While the premise holds potential for relatability, the execution falls short, resulting in a lackluster portrayal of the protagonist’s journey. The initial half of the movie introduces the protagonist’s marital issues and family relation. However, the narrative fails to capitalize on comedic opportunities, with only silly laughs scattered throughout. The portrayal of key characters, such as Vadina, lacks depth and fails to evoke the intended humor, pointing towards deficiencies in both direction and writing.

The latter half shifts towards a more serious tone, focusing on themes of matrimonial fraud. However, the transition feels disjointed, and the portrayal of characters like Raja Chembolu’s role appears underdeveloped. The failure to integrate these thematic elements cohesively with the main storyline highlights the directorial shortcomings.

The climax attempts to impart a meaningful message regarding matrimonial issues but falls short due to its belated introduction and lack of impact. Despite featuring talented actors like Gautami and Murali Sharma, the climax fails to leverage their abilities effectively, resulting in a missed opportunity to elevate the narrative.

The old movie Aa Okkati Adakku directed by Allari Naresh’s father, EVV Satyanarayana, still makes us laugh today, showing the power of comedy in the film. However, this particular movie fails to bring any laughter, even on the first watch. Despite the hype surrounding its title, watching the film leaves you feeling regretful for associating such a memorable title with such a disappointing movie.

Verdict: Aa Okkati Adakku doesn’t have much positive to offer, except for its relatable core storyline. Entire movie movie suffers from poor writing and weak presentation. Despite the nostalgic allure of its title and the potential for comedy reminiscent of films directed by Allari Naresh’s father, EVV Satyanarayana, Aa Okkati Adakku ultimately disappoints. While older movies continue to elicit laughter even today, this film fails to deliver any comedic moments, leaving audiences unfulfilled. The mismatch between the film’s title and its content leaves viewers with a sense of regret, as the promise of humor is overshadowed by the film’s lackluster execution.
