In a glittering event in Mumbai, Movie Train Motion Pictures banner unveiled the trailer of ‘800,’ a biopic chronicling the life of cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan.
The film, directed by MS Sripathy and co-written by Booker Prize laureate Shehan Karunatilaka, features Madhur Mittal in the lead role as Muralitharan and Mahima Nambiar as his wife, Madhimalar Ramamurthy.
The event witnessed the presence of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, who shared heartfelt anecdotes about his enduring friendship with Muralitharan, highlighting the off-spinner’s dedication to his craft. Tendulkar, affectionately known as the ‘Master Blaster,’ lauded Muralitharan’s unwavering commitment to the game, reminiscing about their first meeting in 1993.
The cricket legend praised Muralitharan’s simplicity and the remarkable perseverance that led him to become the only bowler in the history of International Test cricket to take 800 wickets.
Tendulkar’s presence at the trailer launch event underscored the deep bond between the two cricketing legends, offering a glimpse into the fascinating journey of ‘800,’ set to release in October across the country in multiple languages.
