3 Roses is AHA’s latest presentation. It is quite special as Maruthi is the showrunner for the series. Read our review to know if the show has any juice in it or not.
Plot
Ritu(Esha Rebba), Jahnvi(Payal Rajput), and Indu(Poorna) are independent women who are forced to get married. But each of them is so particular about their careers and wants to take time in getting hitched. How will they face the hurdles in life is the story of the series.
Performances
All three have done a really impressive job. Eesha Rebba as a career-oriented woman is very good and has a decent role. Poorna as the one who is being asked about her age is also neat in her role. But one would think, Payal will be the best in all but she is not. In many scenes, Payal has gone overboard and she overacts for no reason. Viva Harsha is the best of the lot in comedy and evokes superb fun.
Analysis
In a way, 3 Roses is the Freemake of the Hindi show Four More Shots Please that was a big hit. But the Telugu version is not that great at all. It has all the reservations in terms of comedy and boldness.
The makers have tried hard to evoke the boldness but it falls short most of the time. The comedy generated is too much sleaze and does not register you one bit except for a few scenes.
The look and field of the show are very good. In all this, Maruthi’s writing is very weak as he has not elevated the emotions well. This is where the show goes down. If you like glamor and boldness give the show a hit but there is nothing exciting that the trailers showcase.
Bottom Line – Bold but not that great
