In yet another NRI death case, two Indian students were killed in a hit-and-run case in Tennessee, US. The car accident happened on the night of Thanksgiving. The deceased have been identified as Vybhav Gopisetty, 26, and Judy Stanley Pinheiro, at the Tennessee State University, pursuing food science degree in the College of Agriculture.
The deceased car was hit by pick-up driver, David Torres, who is at large. The cops have released his picture and sought public help to apprehend him. The University in a statement issued said, “The Tennessee State University family is mourning the loss of two TSU students killed in an auto accident Thanksgiving night. Judy Stanley, 23, and Vybhav Gopisetty, 26, were both graduate students from India pursuing food science degrees in the College of Agriculture. Stanley was seeking a master’s, and Gopisetty a doctorate.
Meanwhile, Sharath Julakanti is helping to raise funds on GoFundMe page. Describing the deceased, he wrote, “They both come from small and simple families from India and left their last breathe in United States,” Julakanti wrote. “We kindly request everyone to support them for their funeral which is to be held at India.”
