Actress Jyothika is thorough professional and underscoring her commitment, director JJ Fredrick making her debut with Ponmagal Vandhal heaped praise on the actress. Recalling an incident from a film set revealing how professional is she, he said that despite with running with high fever she continued filming.
“Apart from getting the script from me three months in advance and practicing her lines, Jyo ma’am is very supportive. She had put in a lot of effort, both mentally and physically for her role. There have been times when the shoot would go on until 2am in the night. We shot the film in Ooty, when it was cold and raining. We did shoot a couple of rain shots as well. On one such day of shoot, Jyo ma’am got completely drenched in the rain. She developed fever the next day, but still shot for her portions. She’s the biggest support for the film,” says Fredrick. He also adds that her performance left him overwhelmed. “Nobody could have justified Venba’s character except Jyothika ma’am.”
