Hyderabad, Vizag turn hotspots for Bollywood

The coronavirus pandemic has put the showbiz industry come to a standstill like many others. Even though the government has lifted the lockdown and allowed shoots to resume with adhering to guidelines and norms, things are not easy for the film units. With most of the films to have shoot in foreign locales, the COVID acts as an impediment with rising cases to shoot out of country.

With lack of shoot spots and exotic locales, Bollywood is now eyeing Hyderabad and Vizag as the hotspots for filming. In fact, Suresh Babu reveals that several Bollywood filmmakers have approached them to rent out their locations for shoots. He said, “Producers want their team isolated together during shoots to mitigate risk of infection. When you are filming in your city, you’d want to return home to your family, which is why makers are looking at locations outside the state”.

Echoing the same, Rana Daggubati adds,  “Shoots for TV and web shows have already begun according to government guidelines and several more will kick off in the next few weeks. Around next month, we should see some Hindi films readying for shoot across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh”.
